We left Everett, Pa this morning at 6 am and the temperature was 46 degrees. It was pretty cold for most of the morning.
Shortly after we left I had Jeff pull over and put my raingear pants on over my jeans to break the cold air. We got on Route 220 in Bedford and then got on 68 West into West Virginia, in Morgantown, WV we picked up Route 79 South into Charleston, WV where we got on 64 West into Kentucky. We crossed into Kentucky at 12:30 pm and stopped for lunch at 1:30 pm, where else but Kentucky Fired Chicken in Grayson,KY
. We followed 64 West into Lexington and saw some beautiful horse farms. We intended to stop at Maker's Mark Distillery but our schedule didn't allow us to make it on time. So we stopped at the Castle Hill Winery in Gaybourn, KY
where I did a wine tasting and got a bottle of wine to take with us to Elizabethtown, KY where we arrived at 4:30 at my sister Connie's house. We traveled 550 miles today. We had dinner and enjoyed visiting with her and her family. Here is a link to a map of the we traveled today
