Day 6 Glacier National Park

We left our house on Flathead Lake at 8:30 am to travel to Glacier. We had to stop to put on our rain gear. Then headed to the East Entrance. On our way into the park we encountered a Grizzly Bear on the road. We stopped for a few minutes then proceeded and he ran into the woods. We had to follow some Pilot cars on our way into the park as they were doing construction on the road. Once we got into the park we rode the Road to the Sun. As we left the park we stopped in Apgar Village and had a late lunch at Eddie's where we got some warm Huckleberry Cobbler with ice cream. I highly recommend the cobbler at Eddie's. As we began down the road it started to rain a bit. As we stopped for gas we put our rain gear on again. We really thought we were going to get dumped on this time as the sky was black and we heard thunder. We headed out toward Seattle. Hoping to get close to half way there. We traveled Route 2 which was a really nice ride until we were about 15 miles from Libby, MT. This is were we hit some major road construction. I felt like we were off-road riding for about 5 miles. After the construction we decided we would look for a place to stay for the night. We found a Best Western in Bonner's Ferry Idaho. We checked in and then had dinner in the hotel restaurant overlooking the river. After dinner I talked Jeff into giving me $20 for the casino. Went to the casino and won $228.50 and the I gave him his $20 back. We went back to room for the night.
