We started out this morning and headed to the Cherohala Skyway. We go a little side tracked and some some additional country that we wouldn't of gotten to see. Finally got headed in the right direction but just as we were about to get on the skyway we saw rain in the distance and stopped at La loteria Mexican Restaurant in Tellico Plains before entering the skyway. The skyway winds up and over 5,400 foot mountains for 18 miles in North Carolina and descends another 23 miles into Tennessee. The road crosses through the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests thus the name “Chero…hala”. We saw a wild hog and her babies on the Skyway. We followed the skyway from Tennessee into North Carolina and then traveled Route 129 North to Deals Gap and Road the Tail of the Dragon into Tennessee. This is the second time for us to ride the Dragon. It was nicer this time, first because it was a weekday and there were not as many motorcycles acting like fools. Only had 1 who decided we were not going fast enough and past us on a curve. Secondly because we were not towing our motorcycle trailer along with us. We traveled 267 miles today.

Just Winging it
We love winging across the country on our Honda Gold Wing. Enjoy the ride.
Our names are Jeff and Judy Keller, we reside in Southern Lancaster County in Pennsylvania. We purchased our 2001 Honda Goldwing GL1800 in January 2014 on Craigslist. We have begun riding almost every day and WE LOVE IT! Since we are loving what we are doing we decided to start this Blog to document our journeys for others to enjoy along with us.
